Modeling of Formation of Communication Skills of Future Teachers-psychologists in the Socio-dynamic Conditions of a Network Society

Abstract

In the modern educational sphere, digitalization occupies a leading position as one of the major global megatrends, highlighting the growing importance of the formation of a “network society.” This indicates that network communication is regarded as a system-forming source of transformation of social institutions and restructuring of social relations. It contributes to the development of new mechanisms of cooperation and self-organization within the network society and enables the realization of its positive potential.At the same time, the high speed of information exchange in the network society, flexible structures of interaction, and the development of a virtual social space may intensify social competition and inequality and change the nature of communication among individuals and social groups.The article examines the problem of developing the communication skills of future educational psychologists under the socially dynamic conditions of the network society. The development of communication skills among future educational psychologists is theoretically substantiated and characterized by components that ensure effective interaction in a network environment.The aim of the study is to develop a model for fostering the communication skills of future educational psychologists under the socially dynamic conditions of the network society and to test this model in a higher education institution. A brief analysis of the components, criteria, and indicators of the communication skills of future educational psychologists in the context of the network society was conducted.The model was tested within the framework of an empirical study aimed at diagnosing the level of development of specific characteristics. A total of 152 students from M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University participated in the experimental pedagogical study.
