Essay of the history of university and the department of pedagogy of KazNU named after al-Farabi.

Abstract

History of the University is inextricably linked with the history of our country. And the history of the Department is organically woven into the history of the University and is reflected in the history of formation and development of our country. The paper presents a brief essay of the development of the university and the history of the Department of Pedagogy. A periodization of development of the Department of Pedagogy is performed. Two periods and four stages are allocated. Soviet period of development of the department is divided by us into two stages: Stage 1 – the opening and formation of the Department of Pedagogy in the Kazakh State University (1940 - 1970 years); Stage 2 - development of the Department of Pedagogy as a University and Republican methodical and scientific center (1980 - 1991). Period of Independence of Kazakhstan: Stage 3 - the establishment of the Department of Pedagogy as graduating department in terms of building a national system of higher education and the beginning of international cooperation (1991 -2010); Stage 4 - the active integration into the world scientific and educational space and further strategic development of department (2010 - present). Contributions of Heads of the Department of the Soviet period and the initial period of independence are emphasized. Contributions of Academician T.Tazhibayev, A.I.Sembayev, G.K. Akhmetova are particularly highlighted .
