Abstract

The article discusses current issues of organizing leisure time for teenagers. Teenagers, as a special social group, are prone to the influence of negative trends in modern society. In the sphere of leisure, positive and negative situations and behavior of schoolchildren are most clearly manifested; they are more susceptible to the consequences of social changes. Adolescents are known to be risk-takers; being extreme for a teenager means keeping up with the times, progress, development. Currently, teenagers’ means of leisure are social networks (Instagram, Tik-tok, YouTube), the space of public communication platforms; youth may develop dependence on public communication platforms. Therefore, the quality of information in the space of these platforms, its impact on behavior, communication, personal development and spiritual and moral education of children require additional research and work of teachers and the public. Teenagers who spend more time online primarily lose relationships with friends, adults, and parents. In the era of computer technology, people began to prefer virtual communication. Problems arise such as limiting communication between teenagers through short messages, reducing vocabulary, observing spelling rules, etc. Due to the changeable behavior of teenagers, it is necessary to effectively organize their leisure time, develop hobbies, and various educational activities. 100 schoolchildren of 7-8 grades in Almaty took part in a diagnostic study to identify the level of creativity and sociability. The “Accessible Leisure” project was implemented with teenagers, which included schoolchildren going to museums and libraries and involving them in volunteer activities.
