Abstract

The article reflects the results of the second series of practical research of the project BRP of the MES number 1139 / GF «Psychological and pedagogical diagnosis of intellectual abilities of youth of research university as a factor in the development of the intellectual potential of Kazakhstan.» The developed technology consists of three phases of implementation: (1) the preparatory phase, (2) the stage of immediate diagnosis, data processing and definition of abilities, (3) the stage of development of abilities. In the diagnosis design process methods were selected. This study included a diagnosis of personality by four parameters: 1) type and profile of thinking;2) level of creativity; 3) leading modal system; 4) dominant hemisphere of the brain. Diagnosis of the above parameters was carried out according to the following test methods: the method «Specifying the types of thinking and the level of creativity» by J.Bruner, test «Artist – The Thinker», test «Leading Representative System.» The study involved students of the al-Farabi KazNU of the following specialties: «5B010300 –Pedagogy and Psychology», «5В012300 – Social pedagogy and self-knowledge», «5В021000 – Foreign philology» and others. Number of surveyed students was 165. The average age of respondents was 20.5 years. Diagnosis of intelligence and creativity allows to help students in self-determination and selfdevelopment, forming their own individual path of personality development. In the third stage trainings – master-workshops on the development of intelligence and creative skills of the students were conducted.
