Abstract

Since 2010 at all levels of education, Kazakhstan introduced the subject «Self-cognition». The subject is interdisciplinary, focused on the creative development of the child, the harmonious development of moral, spiritual and intellectual potential of the child. The article analyzes the content of a school subject to identify educational material aimed at the development of pupils’ creative abilities. In addition, the author analyzes new methods of teaching the subject «Self-cognition», which implement the pedagogy of the 21st century. Fixation of component «creative activities, group work» in the structure of a lesson shows great possibilities and potential for the development of creativity. The author also designed the structure of pupils’ creative abilities for this study. In the practical part of the study, the levels of children creative abilities are determined using diagnostic techniques – test H. Sievert, questionnaire Davis. The practical study involved 100 students of the school # 55, Almaty.
