Abstract

The article presents the results of research on effective teaching of physics, developed as part of the dissertation research "Methodology of using interactive visualization through augmented reality in teaching physics." Augmented reality at high school can introduce key phenomena in physical education and make successful laboratory experiments, increase learning efficiency by improving the motivation of pupils and their involvement as users of augmented reality. The research paper presents a system with three applications of augmented reality for teaching physics in the ninth, tenth and eleventh grades in high school, and the ultimate goal is to provide a single platform covering the subject of physics. In the future, it can be used to visualize physical phenomena in all classes of a general education at high schools. The platform provides teachers and pupils with a useful tool to implement augmented reality technologies to improve teaching and learning, motivate and improve pupils physics skills. The developed system is evaluated in terms of ease of use, gamification and readiness of teachers to introduce this technology into the educational process. A total of 507 participants took part in the study, divided into two groups of users: teachers (N=15), pupils (N=492). The results of the study show that augmented reality game applications are easy and optimal to use, and that teachers are interested in using these applications in teaching.
